Operation

*NOTICE*

  

The vane assembly must be rotating before you move on/off lever to the on position. Failure to do so could cause damage to the internal mechanism. 


You will need to apply your correction factor which will be affixed to the case of the unit.


 We recommend taking several readings to determine the most accurate airflow testing.

 If the area is large, you may need to use a traverse method of testing to get the most accurate readings.

Instructions

  


1. Zero out hands by moving reset lever downward. 

(If Applicable

Luminous Charge=15s)


2. Once the unit is placed directly into the flow of air, allow the unit to start spinning in the off mode until fully at speed.


3. Once the unit has reached full speed, you can now move the on/off lever to the right and begin taking your measurement.

3. Once the unit has reached full speed, you can now move the on/off lever to the right and begin taking your measurement.


4. The measurement is taken for one minute, and then you must move lever to the off position, the readings will remain on dial until you reset back to zero

This product should be stored in a clean environment when not in use. Vane assembly (blades) must remain free of debris and residue. To avoid moving the pitch angles, do not handle vane assembly.


Depending on the type of environment, debris build-up and functionality of this product, we recommend that you send it back to the manufacturer

Depending on the type of environment, debris build-up and functionality of this product, we recommend that you send it back to the manufacturer for cleaning and calibration as often as needed to maintain top working order. 


Cleaning and calibration services include ensuring the product performs within its specified accuracy tolerance, making any necessary adjustments and inspecting all aspects of the products functionality so that you’ll have accurate and dependable service 


FPM Reading & Correction

How to turn On/Off/Reset

  • To turn ON unit, make sure fan blade is spinning then move stop lever to ON position (right)
  • To turn OFF unit, move stop lever to OFF position (left)
  • To RESET the hands to zero, gently pull down on the reset lever as needed. 


**Readings are +/- 2% after correction**

Hands Not Zeroing

If hands stick or do not move back to the zero position, while the fan blade in spinning, turn back on for 3s, then turn off, and reset again. Do not force reset.
